Wheel Strap Recommendation for Smaller Vehicle with Limited Tire Clearance on Trailer
Question:
Can you send me the link?? I have some red band tires on my Triumph TR250 which look great now. Concerned about putting a strap on them. Most I see are the triangle. Should I consider only the E-Trak type that go over only the tread?? Just worries me about getting loose to where the car could move quite a bit. My trailer is a 7 footer and my car is nearly 5 feet wide. I dont have much room for error. I attached a picture of the car. Given the low clearance behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires, I guess I need to put the ratchet where the highest clearance is.

For your application I would strongly recommend going with the Erickson E-Track Wheel Tie-Down Strap # EM58523 as it only touches the tread and due to it's design works great with limited clearance since the ratchet can be positioned out and away from the vehicle on the E-track.
In the picture I attached you can see it used on a newer Camaro with very limited clearance. It will be a very secure fit as well. We don't have an install video for the strap though at this time.
You'll need E-tracks like part # E19148 installed on your trailer floor too.
