Grease Seal and Cap for 5 Lug Trailer Hub with Grease Fitting

Question:

I have a set of trailer hubs 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern 1 1/16 inch I.d. Bearings inner and outer. One wheel stud has a grease fitting drilled in it with a tube running to inner bearing. Im having trouble finding grease seals and dust caps that work properly. Please help! What brand are these hubs. Where can I find these parts? Thanks!

It sounds like you have an EZ-Llube spindle, # TRU44FR, for a 2,000 lb axle made by Dexter Axle. You should check your axle capacity to be sure.

If this is the correct spindle the matching matching seals would be the # RG06-020 grease seals, and the matching grease caps would be the # RG04-040 caps with plugs for the EZ-Lube spindle. If you measure the diameter of the seal surface in the hub you should get 1.987 inches and the diameter of the grease cap surface should measure 1.986 inches.

If your hub does have a grease zerk in one of the wheel studs, as you mentioned, and the measurements for the parts above do not match, I will need the inner and outer bearing part numbers to determine the correct parts for your spindle. I have not ran into this style of hub before.
