Can the Convert-A-Ball Adapter # CAB-C5G be Utilized on a Truck with a Recessed Gooseneck Hitch Ball

Question:

I have a truck with a recessed gooseneck ball in a CM flat bed. Will this adapter work properly? I currently have an Andersen adapter which is a quadpod type, effectively moves the 2 5/16 inch ball up to the campers king pin with a small adapter on the kingpin, but its really too high. The camper runs down the road with the nose too high and tail too low. My trailer mechanic has refused to put a lift on the camper suspension ... so ... Im trying to find an alternative. How does this product compare? Will it overstress the campers king pin? Thanks!

The Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G that you referenced is actually one of our most popular options for using a gooseneck hitch to pull a 5th wheel trailer. It has received great reviews and offers 12" to 16" of adjustment (measured from the top of the hitch ball) to help level your towing setup.

I have attached an installation video for you to reference.
