Pivot Arm Setting For B&W Companion Hitch

Question:

I just installed this hitch in my 2021 gmc 2500 with the 6-10 bed.... I have it set to the location for the king pin to be 2inch back from center of axle... is this OK or should I move it to directly over center of the axle setting? I believe I would still have the clearance when making a tight turn but started with it back to see how it did... it appears its directly over where the goose neck connection would be.

The B&W # BWRVK3710 hitch base has two options for horizontal location of the pivot arms. Since you do not have an 8-foot bed, I would choose the option that places the king pin closer to the rear bumper. This still won't allow a 90-degree turn, but it will give you a bit more room to navigate.
