Recommended Towing Package for a 2015 Lexus RX 350
Question:
I am considering a Curt towing hitch for my 2015 Lexus RX 350 and want to know what, with or without F Sport it means

Helpful Expert Reply:
The F-Sport version of the 2015 Lexus RX 350 is a trim package with a stiffer chassis and larger wheels. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13143 will fit versions with or without the F-Sport trim package. The Curt trailer hitch is a Class III receiver with a 2" tube opening. The hitch has a maximum weight capacity of 600 lbs tongue weight (TW) and 4,000 lbs gross trailer weight (GTW). However, you will need to confirm the vehicle's maximum TW and GTW and abide by the lower of the two ratings.
If you will be towing a trailer with your Lexus you will also need a trailer wiring harness and ball mount/hitch ball. For a trailer wiring harness I recommend taking a look at the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit part # 119250KIT which offers a complete plug and play installation. As long as you do not already have a 4-way trailer connector at the rear of your vehicle then the above harness will work well for you.
For a ball mount kit, part # 989900 will work with the majority of trailers for your RX350 but you will want to use the ball mount help article I have attached for you to confirm this.
