Could Draw Tite Front Hitch # 65063 be Used for Recovering Vehicles Stuck in Winter Weather
Question:
I have a 2015 Ram 2500 4wd diesel. I want to add a winch for occasional self recovery from a snow bank or ditch, and for helping other folks out who get stuck in the snow common on my street. My truck barely fits in the garage as it is so a new number is not an option. If I install this receiver and use it for winching, will it be able to stand up to the weight of these types of pulls? A guy at my local 4wd shop claims the receiver would break if I tried to pull anything. Thanks for the help!

The Draw Tite front hitch part # 65063 has a line pull rating of 9,000 lbs so it would hold up very well for what you are looking to do. Especially in snow situations where it's just a lack of traction that gets people stuck and not you pulling a truck up a hill stuck in deep mud.
