Towing 5th Wheel Trailer with Gooseneck Hitch on Flat Bed Truck
Question:
Can I adapt a Fifth Wheel to a gooseneck for a flatbed with a recessed ball? It’s quite a bit taller than a standard truck bed.

I recommend looking at a fifth wheel to gooseneck adapter like the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G. This coupler will bolt to the trailer's king pin and allow it to be connected to the gooseneck ball on your flat bed truck. It has a towing capacity of 20,000 pounds and an adjustable height from 12 to 16 inches. There is also an offset design with part # CAB-C5GX1216 that will provide additional clearance if necessary.
