Are Ford and Ram OEM Gooseneck Hitch Compatible with Offset for Better Turning Clearance

Just picked up my new truck today. The dealer installed this hitch for me. I asked for a bandw turnover, instead he did the curt oem style or pop in. I was planning on running the 4inch offset ball to give me more room. Is there an offset hitch offered for the in style. Truck is a 2018 ram 2500 Laramie without factory gooseneck package.

The Curt 4" Offset Ball for Double-Lock Gooseneck Hitch # C602 is available only if you have the double-lock model. The other Curt models that drop in and lock through the ball lever like # C60601 featuring the Pop-In or OEM Underbed System will not have the offset option available, so it is a bummer the dealer didn't give you what you asked for with your 2018 Ram 2500 Laramie.

To give you the clearance you desire, the other option is to use a gooseneck coupler offset like # BWTEXA4200 to give you 10 inches additional clearance. There is also the Gen-Y 5 inch offset torsion suspension system like # 325-GH-7002 that is available in different load capacities and either round or square coupler tubes.

You may want to consider the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long # C56000 to add a second 7-way to the bed of your truck for easy connection with your gooseneck trailer.
