The replacement Digital Remote Control for Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vents, part # FV9068-09, may not have come with the two required AA batteries so I would first check that your remote has two of this size battery. Also please make sure they are installed in the correct positive/negative orientation; if even one of the batteries is installed the wrong way the remote will not function at all.

Also make sure you have first selected the MANUAL operating mode and that the vent lid is in the open position. If these steps do not correct the problem then check that the vent's 4-amp slow-blow fan motor fuse has not been blown; replace as needed.

The vent that this remote works with, model # FV807350, is covered by a 2-year warranty so if you cannot get the fan to operate you may have warranty coverage. I could not find order history for you here at etrailer.com based on your email address but if the vent is less than 2-years old I urge you to contact the retailer from whom it was purchased.
