Mounting Bracket Width for the Alumi-Tread RV Steps # LC432698

Question:

Im looking at the 4 step alumitread rv stairs #432698. Most similar steps measure around 27.5 total outside width of the metal boxinch that holds the steps. This one says 28. Could that really be correct? Would they really make it 1/2inch wider than almost every other rv step? Also where it gives the bolt spacing measurements there is and odd entry. Mine is 41/2inch center to center. What is this one actually?

The more steps the RV step set has typically the wider the mounting brackets are. Sometimes by only a matter of a half an inch like the Alumi-Tread part # LC432698 that you referenced.

You may need to outriggers to install these steps like # LC301704 which would require you to remove your old ones to install these.
