Installation of Hopkins Endurance 4-Pole-to-7-Way Trailer Connector Adapter HM47200

Question:

Hi, I have the 4 way to 7 adapter and my lights work when I connect my 4 way in my boat trailer but get nothing when I plug in my 7 way. I tried to look at the diagram but the colors are kind of off. I have green and brown separate, yellow and brown separate, white, red, and black. Total of 7 wires. How should I redo the wires to make it work?

When the Hopkins Endurance Quick-Install 4-Pole-to-7-Way Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47200 is connected to vehicle 4-pole wiring it will pass through only those basic lighting signals unless the pigtail leads for the other circuits are connected.

On this item those extra pigtail leads are as follows: blue is for connection to a trailer brake controller to deliver its output power to the 7-way to activate trailer brakes; the red wire is for the 12V auxiliary power feed and connects to the vehicle battery + terminal through a 40-amp breaker like # PK54540; the purple wire is for connection to the vehicle reverse light circuit (if needed); and the white wire is ground. Please refer to the linked videos.

The linked article on trailer wiring formats will also help you with the completion of the installation.
