Recommended Tow Dolly for 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback with Automatic Transmission

Question:

Hi is it possible to tow my Civic four down? Owners manual says no but what are my options? Can I tow with the car running and in neutral?

It is not possible to tow 4 down on your 2017 Honda Civic with automatic transmission. The automatic transmission is a CVT which makes it unable to do so. However, since your vehicle is not an AWD and is only a FWD, you can use a tow dolly. I recommend the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - 4,250 lbs # RM-2050-1 which will tow your Civic Hatchback without any issue. This dolly has electric brakes, and I recommend using the Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector # PK12706 to make the brakes active and compatible with your motorhome. You will need an electric brake controller in your motorhome like the # 90195 for this function and you will also need a ball mount compatible with the 2 inch hitch ball compatible coupler.

Let me know if you have further questions.
