Recommended Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier for 2013 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Looking for a Folding hitch mounted cargo carrier. Steel or Aluminum. Must fit 2013 Jeep Wrangler 4-door and clear spare tire so the rear door will swing open all the way. It is 18-1/2" from the center of pin to the ground and 24-1/4" from the bottom of spare tire to the ground.

Thank you for the measurements, they helped a great deal. With those measurements you need a carrier that is going to be less than 5-3/4", which would be the Curt # C18109. This is a steel carrier that is 60-1/4" long x 19-5/8" wide and has sides that are only 2-3/4" high. The short sides and the fact that the shank does not rise means it will allow you to open the rear door. The only drawback is that there's only 5" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the carrier when it is folded up, so that would not be an option with this carrier.
I strongly recommend using anti-rattle hitch lock # 63232 to reduce the amount of noise your carrier makes. If you need cargo bag our most popular option is the etrailer Cargo Bag with Mounting Straps # 988501 which holds 20 cubic ft. of gear, is waterproof, and has six tie-down straps for security.
I've added a links to video reviews of these products for you to take a look at.
