Ground Wire for Ceiling Light on Old Camper with Only a 12V Battery System
Question:
Good morning, I have a old camper that is only run off a 12V battery system. As it stands this is not set up with a ground. I want to add the LED lights to the system. They have a power wire and a ground wire. How would the wiring look if I needed to ground this? As it stands I have a battery and two wires that run thru the camper ceiling. Item # RVIL22 Thanks!

To wire the RV Euro Style Interior Double Ceiling Light with Built-In Switch # RVIL22 to your old camper with 12V battery system, you will simply connect the black wire to 12V power, and then the white wire will connect to any metal that is in some way attached to your trailer frame. You will want to use a self-tapping screw like # FA1131822 along with a ring terminal like # DW05737-1. I recommend connecting your 12V power and testing the ground location before tapping to ensure function. The grounding ring terminal will need to be attached to bare metal.
