Using Receiver Hitch Designed for Another Vehicle on a 2005 Ford F150
Question:
I purchased this model hitch receiver for my 06 ram 1500 and now want to know if this hitch will fit a 05 ford F150 that I just purchased

Expert Reply:
Because the vast majority of the receiver hitches we offer are custom designed and vehicle-specific, the Curt Class V receiver hitch that you referenced, part # C15409, is not compatible with your 2005 Ford F-150.
We offer several different hitches that would be compatible with a 2005 F150, the model with the greatest towing capacity (6000 lbs) is the Curt Class III receiver, part # C13352.
Among the other towing accessories you might need, we offer a ball mount part # 2753, 1-7/8 inch trailer ball, part # 19260, 2 inch trailer ball, part # 63845 or a 2-5/16 trailer ball, part # 19287.
