Trailer Hitch Receiver and Platform Bike Rack for a 2014 Lexus CT200h
Question:
Hi I have a 2014 Lexus 200CT. It has a OEM spoiler, so i strap on bike rack would put downward pressure on the spoiler. So, Ive been looking for a hitch mounted bike rack #1 which hitch and tray-style rack do you recommend? #2 will it void my extended warranty to put a hitch on there?

For your 2014 Lexus 200CT, I recommend the Curt Class I, part # C11200. This is a Class I hitch that's suited for light duty towing and accessory use.
Consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question.
Platform racks have a wide range of features. On vehicles with Class I hitches, you can only carry two bikes.
A great rack that works well on Class I racks is the Kuat Transfer, part # KU74FR. This rack's unique U shaped bar lets you step into the rack to load your bikes, making it easier to use. This is a wheel mounted rack, avoiding contact with the bike's frames. It can carry up to two bikes that are 40 pounds a piece and fits 18-29 inch wheels. The rack also folds up and tilts away for access to the rear bike hatch. The Transfer doesn't include any integrated security features, but you can add an integrated bike and hitch lock with part # PTSCLK12.
I've included a video review of this rack below.
