What hitch do you have on your vehicle? The # 63080 can only really be used on Draw Tite hitches and if you have something different that would explain why it doesn't want to fit and work properly.

Based on that your best solution would be the part # 63232 which is an anti-rattle device for 2 inch hitches with a lock built into it as well.
