Does Demco Hijacker Capture Plates Need Adjusting Each Time You Couple or Uncouple the Trailer?

Do you have to set capture bracket every time you couple or uncoupling?

On the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550024, you do not need to set the capture plates each time you couple or uncouple your trailer. Demco recommends that the capture plates be set about 1/16 inch from your pin box on either side at initial adjustment and that will set the plates so that each time you couple and uncouple, the capture plates will align your pin box for proper function. They will not actually get torqued to pinch the sides of your pin box.
