Recommendations for Securing Marching Band Equipment in Enclosed Trailer

Question:

I have a 24 foot box trailer that we used to haul marching band equipment. We are looking for a tie down solution to keep the cargo from shifting in transit. I like the this product, but Im not sure how installation will work for our application, since I dont know how the trailer was built. Id hate to drill a 4.5inch hole in the floor of the trailer, if I cant get underneath to secure the backing plate. Any suggestions?

Instead of securing your marching band equipment from the floor you could secure it from the wall using the Erickson Vertical E-Track # E19146. You can then use the Erickson E-Track Tie-Off w/ D-Ring # E59143 to provide tie-down attachment points or use a tie-down like the Erickson E-Track Strap with Ratchet # EM59136 that installs directly into the E-Track .I have also attached a link to our selection of accessories that are compatible with the E-Tracks that you can filter through.

An installation video of the Erickson Vertical E-Track # E19146 has also been attached for you to reference.

Installing anything to the floor of your trailer, like the Brophy Swiveling D-Ring Anchors # RR6K-4 or the Erickson Horizontal E-Track # E19148, will require that a backing plate be installed underneath the trailer.

You can check your trailer for compatibility to see if the 2-1/4" bolts that come with the Brophy Swiveling D-Ring Anchors # RR6K-4 are long enough to securely install this option on your trailer.
