Compatibility of the Demco Auto Slide Hitch and a Rail Adapter Kit to Fit the B&W Underbed Hitch
Question:
Hello, I have a 2006 Chevy 2500Hd with a short bed. I have a BandW turnover hitch with a Fifth wheel Companion that was in the truck when I bought it. Is there a way to install the Demco Slider hitch and either set above but preferably below of rails without removing the turnover system?

I have a solution for you, but the Demco Hijacker Auto Slide 5th Wheel Hitch for Above Bed Rails, # DM8552009-71, is not compatible with using a rail adapter with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Hitch. Auto slide 5th wheel hitches cannot be mounted to the adapter.
Using the Demco 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter for B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitches, # DM6140, you can install the Demco Hijacker Premier Series Ultra Slide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider 21K, # DM6076P-UL-21K. The Hijacker Premier is a manual operated slider 5th wheel hitch. The hitch has a gross towing weight of 21,000 lbs and has a hitch head adjustment of 16 to 19 inches.
The Hijacker Premier hitch uses the same 360-degree dual jaw system that is found on the Auto Slide Hijacker model. The jaw assembly will wrap around the king pin and provide a secure connection that will provide less rattle than most 5th wheel hitches.
The Demco Hijacker Premier 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider is also available in a 16K model, # DM6076P-UL-16K.
