Is There an Advantage to Going to a Higher Rated Leaf Spring with a 3,500 lb Trailer Axle

Question:

Are trailer has 3500 lb axel capacity. What would there be any benefits to put 5000 or 6000 lb capacity springs. Thanks

There really wouldn't be a benefit. It would unnecessarily stiffen up the suspension. You still would be limited by the 3,500 axle capacity so you wouldn't gain any capacity while increasing the stiffness of the trailer suspension.

Best option is to stick with 3,500 lb leaf springs.

For 3,500 lb springs we have the part # SP-210275 for a 27 inch long spring, part # e54SR for a 25-1/8 inch spring, or part # e59SR for a 23-1/8 inch long spring.
