How to Determine Proper Replacement Trailer Hub

Question:

I recently bought a hub from you all. It is to small. I have a tapered spindle inner bearing measures 4.5 inches and putter bearing 3.5 inches on spindle. It is 5 lug nuts and 4.5 inch hub. What is the proper hub I need for my trailer that hold a regular sized tire of 205/14

The Titan Hub Assembly # T4084600042 uses bearing # L44643 for both the inner and the outer, which has a 1 inch inner diameter.

If your axle has as tapered spindle that is too large for the Titan hub then it's likely you have inner bearing # L68149 and outer bearing # L44649. The inner diameters are 1.378 and 1.063 inches, respectively. You'll want to verify the numbers or measurements in order to choose the correct hub. Also, verify your axle's capacity. Hubs with this bearing combination are for 3,500 pound axles, generally.

If these are the correct bearings then you have a # 84 spindle and I recommend # AKIHUB-545-35-K for a hub assembly.

If I'm wrong about your bearings let me know what they are and I'll see if we have a hub that will work for you.
