Replacement Motor for a Fan-Tastic Roof Vent with Non-Working Thermostat
Question:
I dont know the model of my vent fan. It is a 3 speed with a hot / cold control and a built in thermostat. this feature has never worked All I use the fan for is exhaust. Is the motor you have going to work in this fan? Are the blades in the fan clear as are what I have they appear to be smoke black in the pictures? What might be the problem with the hot / cold control not working?

That is a fan/vent made by Fan-Tastic vent. Replacement Fan Motor Assembly Kit for Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent Fans Item # FVK8017-00 is the correct one for you. The blades are clear they are just reflecting things around them when we took the pictures.
The problem with the hot/cold not working could be with the knob itself or the wiring. Dirt/corrosion in or on the top part could cause it to not work properly. Turning it back and forth many times can clean the contacts and it could start working again.
