Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for a 2016 Toyota Sienna and a 2010 Subaru Forester
Question:
We are looking for a bike rack that will fit two of our vehicles: 1 a 2016 Toyota Sienna and 2 and 2010 Subaru Forester. Would this Saris Bones work on either vehicle and, if so, would you recommend it? Or would you instead recommend a hitch-mounted rack? Of the hitch-mounted racks, which is the easiest to install and use? Thank you!

I have a solution for you, but the Saris Bones is not a confirmed fit on the 2017 Toyota Sienna.
One of the most flexible racks we carry is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top, part # HRF2, and its 3-Bike variation, HRF2-3 . This rack is designed specifically for vehicles with spoilers or taller than average hatchback vehicles, allowing for a variety of fits and installations. This is a confirmed fit for both your 2016 Toyota Sienna and your 2010 Subaru Forester.
I recommend adding a 10 Foot Cable Lock, part # e98891 and a Thule Passive Security Strap, part # TH533 to help improve the security of the rack itself.
Additionally, you'll want to grab a Swagman Frame Adapter Bar, part # 64005 if you plan on carrying any childrens', step-through or aggressive frame bikes as this will allow them to ride parallel to the ground rather than at an angle, decreasing the chance that they'll impact the ground or vehicle when riding.
I would recommend going with this over any other kind of solution because you're intending to move the rack between the two vehicles, which is easier with a single rack.
