Recommended Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Jack Replacement for 2003 Cobalt Boat Trailer

Question:

Hi Guys, I need to replace a Fulton Jack with a capacity of 1000 lbs. for a 2003 Cobalt Boat side mount trailer. It seems to me that the part has been discontinued and replaced with the FXP10W0301 or the FXP15W, 1200 lbs or 1500 lbs capacity. My present Fulton Jack has the bolt in the center to mount, so I would like to know if one of these jacks could work for my application? They look the same but I believe the larger one has a grease fitting that would aid in maintenance. Can you add some Light for my situation? It is a pretty heavy 27 foot boat, and the 1000 lbs. capacity has worked for years, but maybe I need to think a little bigger weight capacity for added safety. Thank You So Much...

The jack I recommend to replace your Fulton 1000 lb jack with bolt through is the Fulton Bolt-Thru Swivel Marine Jack - Weld On - Sidewind - 10" Lift - 1,500 lbs # FXP15W. This is a very sturdy jack that will give you a little added safety as you mentioned and will function in the same way as jack you are replacing did when new.

This swivel jack is 22-3/4 inches when fully extended. This jack uses an 8 pitch acme screw for easy lifting and comes with an 8 inch diameter thermoplastic wheel. It will use the bracket already on your trailer, so there is no additional welding. This jack has a zinc finish that has a 600 hour salt spray rating.

If you want a slightly bigger jack in terms of length, the Fulton # FXP100W0301 is 2 inches longer when extended and retracted but has a lift of only 1200 lbs. Everything else is nearly identical.
