Replacement Tires Needed for 205/65R17.5 Size Tires
Question:
Hi, desperately in need of 205 65/17.5 tires. Broke down in Albuquerque enroute to St Paul. Hoping you have or know where I can get one or two. Thank you for your help.

We have some replacement tires that fit a 17.5 inch wheel, but we do not carry them in the 205/65R17.5 size that you need for a direct replacement. You can try installing either of them on your trailer but they do not have the 8.07 inch wide and 28 inch diameter tires that you have now. You will need to make sure that they are compatible with your trailer and that there is at least 2 inches between the tire and any fenders or other tires (if you have a tandem or triple axle setup).
The size that is more likely to fit is the Taskmaster Provider 215/75R17.5 Radial Trailer Tire # TTWP15175. It is 8.46 inches wide and has a 30.2 inch diameter. The Load Range is H meaning that for a single tire the rating is 4,805 lbs at 123 psi but if you are running dual tires that changes to 4,540 lbs at 123 psi. The max speed rating for this tire is 81 mph and it comes with a 2-year limited warranty.
The 2nd option is a littler bigger but it also has a higher weight capacity. This Taskmaster Provider is a 235/75R17.5 Radial Trailer Tire # P35175 and has a Load Range J meaning that for a single tire it is 6,005 lbs at 127 psi but for dual tires the rating is 5,675 lbs at 127 psi. It has a 62 mph max speed rating and comes with a 2-year limited warranty as well.
I have attached review videos for each tire for you to look over.
