Troubleshooting Wire Harness Short Circuit on a T-One Trailer Wiring Harness with Converter
Question:
Well I put one of these on my truck and after several monthes I started smelling burnt wires and was having break light turn signal light and other light issues. I finally relized it was the harness and when I unplugged it my light issues on my truch return to normal. So what may be the problem?

It sounds like the converter on the T-One Wiring Harness, item # 118325, is shorted. There are many reasons which could cause the converter to go bad. Most often connecting to a trailer that has a short in the wiring is the cause. The only solution in this case is to replace the wiring harness and then making sure the wiring on any trailer you may be towing is correct.
