The first thing you will need to flat tow your 2002 Chevy Tahoe is a set of base plates to provide the attachment point from your Tahoe to the Tow Ready Tow Bar, part # 63180. I attached installation instructions below for this product also.
And since there are many variations on the front end of the 2002 Chevy Tahoes in regards to how the tow hooks are bolted on the front of the Tahoe, payload, and whether or not your vehicle is 2 or 4 wheel drive. You will need to check out the link I provided below that will allow you to enter your style of Tahoe and determine which base plate kit would be right for you.
Since the tow bar you have your eye on is a Tow Ready product I would recommend that you pick one of the Roadmaster base plate kits because the Roadmaster base plates are the only ones that can be attached to the Tow Ready tow bars. Keep in mind that this tow bar is rated for towing speeds of 45 miles per hour or less.
A better tow bar option might be the RoadMaster Tracker Tow Bar, # RM-020, which is designed for towing long distances and more frequently.
However, if you choose the Tow Ready tow bar, you will still need to use a Roadmaster Base Plate to Tow Ready Tow Bar Adapter, part # RM-025.
The next thing you will need is a Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit, part # RM-201, to allow you to quickly connect and disconnect the base plate kit from the tow bars.
Next, you will need RoadMaster 68 inches Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, part # RM-643.
For a lighting solution you have a couple options. For a temporary solution I would recommend that you get a Magnetic Towing Light Kit, part # RM-2120. If you would prefer a more permanent solution I would recommend you get a Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit. I attached FAQs, installation instructions and an installation video for diode tow bar wiring below for you to check out also.
You may also be interested in a supplemental braking system. For that I would recommend the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System, part # RM-9400. In some states it is required that you have supplemental braking systems, you should check with your local traffic regulations on this issue.
Finally, you will need to check with the manufacturer and/or your vehicle owners manual for instructions on the proper procedure for towing your vehicle because some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, an axle disconnect, drive line disconnect, or free-wheeling hubs before they can be towed.
