When flat towing our 2016 Terrin it smells like burnt rubber. Is this common?

Are you smelling this WHILE flat towing, or just after getting in the Terrain and driving it again. The burnt rubber smell is somewhat common and could be completely normal. Rubber particles that wear off the front tires kick up and can get stuck on the towed vehicle's exhaust pipes. Normally these would burn off quickly if you were actually driving the Terrain because of the hot pipes, but during flat tow they just kind of accumulate until you start the vehicle again. That's where the smell is coming from. If you're getting that odor while you're actually flat towing though, I would check to see if the steering wheel is locked in the toad. If so, the tires might be scrubbing the road during turns.

What our customers are saying:

"WOW! I am impressed! I called to place my order and real person answered, spoke perfect English, albeit a slight southern accent, and my order was sent within a day, shipped quickly and I had it a few days later. I saved over a hundred dollars over local and installed it my self. I cant imagine how that they could do any better. THANKS!"
