Black Mounting Bracket for A91 Series Trailer Clearance Lights # A91BB Recommendation
Question:
I bought replacement A91 lights for use with existing mounthing brackets. Previous lights were one wire. New lights dont work because they dont seem to self-ground. Is there a trick to installing them? Do I have to get new mounting brackets like the A91BB that have the explicit self-grounding tang?

The Sealed, Mini Rectangular Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light, part # A91RB, that you have are self grounding. You would need a Black Mounting Bracket for A91 and AL91 Series Trailer Clearance, Side Marker Lights -Self Grounding, part # A91BB, for them to ground and function correctly.
Your other option would be to run a ground wire and power wire to the two terminals of the # A91RB. However, it would probably be easier to just get the # A91BB.
