Will the Thule T2 Fit a 2015.5 Volvo XC70 with a Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch
Question:
Im considering a Draw-Tite 75916 receiver for my 2015.5 Volvo XC70 T6 AWD. I plan to mate this to a Thule 9044 T2 platform bike carrier. Will this match work? According to Thule, this carrier requires a bumper clearance of 4.5 inches.

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # 75916 is a great choice for your 2015 Volvo XC70. Once installed only the receiver will be visible. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you.
Receiver depth is almost never a problem on a Class III hitch. This particular hitch is open at the back and, even if it wasn't, there is more than 2.63 inches of receiver depth.
The Thule T2 Pro XTR # TH69TX will fit when folded down and ready for bikes. But you would not be able to fold this bike rack up since it has a 4-1/2 inch clearance measurement when folded and it needs greater than 5 inches.
For a similar rack with more clearance you can use Kuat NV 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Aluminum - Tilting - Gunmetal Gray Item # NV22G which, when folded, has a clearance measurement of 7 inches. Another great option is the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches - Tilting - Aluminum - Gray Item # SH22G which has a clearance measurement of 7-1/2 inches when folded.
