Will Trailer Wheel and Tire # AM30120 Fit Hub with Center Section that Measures 2-1/2 inches

Question:

I am replacing wheels and tires on a small utility trailer with Dexter 8-91A hubs. Your kendra wheel/tire Item # AM30120 appears to match same tire size as existing, same bolt size and pattern. I do however have one concern. You list the pilot hole as 2.5. The Dexter hub measures 2.5inch so it appears that it will just fit. My existing wheels from the trailer manufacturer however have a 2 7/8inch hole. Do I need to search for a different wheel with larger pilot hole or will the snugger fit work? Id like to get it right before placing an order. thanks for your advice

If the center section of your hub is 2-1/2 inches wide and all of the other things you mentioned of the Kenda 5.70-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel # AM30120 match this will fit and work well for you.

The center hole of the wheel will fit right over the hub and fit just fine. In a lot of cases the pilot diameter is a bit bigger than needed, but in your situation where it fits exact it will work just fine. If anything it will make lining up the wheel on the lugs a bit easier.
