Recommendation for a Replacement Electric Tongue Jack for a 2011 Rockwood Roo Trailer

Question:

Hi - we need to replace a Lippert 1817941 power tongue jack that no longer works electrically or manually. We tow a 2011 Rockwood Roo 19ft Hybrid trailer. Our A frame has a 700 lb tongue load and 5000 gross weight max. Since our Roo is a hybrid the new unit cannot be any longer that 22inch from the base of the a-frame to the top of the unit. What are your recommendations for a replacement unit? Thanks for your help!

We carry the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack w/ Footplate, # LC285318. This jack would be a replacement for the Lippert jack you currently have installed on your Rockwood Roo trailer. The Lippert jack has a 3,500 lbs lift capacity with a total lift of 18 inches. The Lippert jack motor has a power consumption rating at 30 amps.

My favorite tongue jack is the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR which is rated for 4500 pounds of lift and has a clutch that prevents damage from over extension or retraction of the jack foot, which ruins many other jacks. It has 23 inches of lift and a drop-foot which can give you 5 more inches of lift, which is nice on campsites where the pad sloped downhill to the street.

I have attached videos of both the Lippert and Stromberg jacks for review.
