Direction of Equalizer # TREQ105 When Installed on Triple Axle Trailer

Question:

I am replacing my shackles and shims in my trailer Looking at your diagram on a triple axle set up Mine has the equalizer treq105 on the front tire to the middle tire then the treq1 from middle to back tire I see you are just opposite Would that make any difference? Also which way should the shackle be spring hanging down and going up to the equalizer? Right now I am having some binding when I try to move the axle up and down could you send pictures of which way the treq105 would be facing

In the image with the suspension setup the equalizer # TREQ105 is placed between the front and second axles. Just like you have on your trailer. The front of the equalizer connects to the spring using a shackle strap and the rear is connected directly to the spring. As shown in the other image.

It's possible you have your shackle bolts too tight which can cause binding. The bolts should be torqued to yield meaning you want them tight but not so tight that the equalizers cannot move.

Can this be used for front and rear equalizers...thus 4 for a triple axle? Is there a heavy hanger that will take the load?

The Equalizer # TREQ105 isn't designed to work as both the front and rear equalizer on a triple axle setup. Are you replacing existing units or is this a new build?
