Installing a 7 spade plug and i need to know the factory wire colors

You will need to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to identify the wiring on your 2000 GMC Sierra.
Vehicle manufacturers can change the wire color at any time, so you have to test the wires by function and not color. I have attached a helpful article on wiring you can check out. It has a chart that shows what wire colors are most commonly used for vehicle manufacturers.
As the chart shows in the article these are the typical wiring colors and their function. Green for right turn and brakes, Yellow for left turn and brakes, Brown for taillights, Black for ground, Pink or Light Blue for brake lights, and Light Green for backup lights.
