Installation of Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System

Does the frame pedistal have to be bolted down to the bed of the truck or does it just fit over the 2 5/16 gooseneck ball .

The Andersen Ultimate # AM3200 installs into industry standard fifth wheel hitch base rails that need to be installed into the truck's bed.
There is a version of the Andersen that installs over a gooseneck ball but we no longer carry it.
