Parts Needed to Install Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller TK90160 in 2016 Subaru Outback

Hello, I am considering purchasing the Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller for my 2016 Subaru Outback. Is there a vehicle specific plug in wiring adaptor for my vehicle? Thank you. PS: I know I will need to purchase the ETBC7 kit regardless because I only have a 4 way connector with my hitch.

Installing a Tekonsha Primus IQ trailer brake controller # TK90160 in your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon does not require a wiring adapter but instead will use the # ETBC7 kit, as you noted, to both convert your 4-pole wiring to the 7-way format and to wire in the Primus IQ. Since you have a working 4-pole all you need are the controller itself and the # ETBC7.
