Question:
I have been upgrading my boat trailer to led lights but can not find one style to complete the job I have what look like a wedge amber light M116A mine is a westbar. my question is does it have to be wedge or can i use a rectangular light like MCL63AB to complete this job.

When replacing trailer lights (with or without LED) you don't necessarily have to get the exact same light or even light style. Most people like to keep the same style and size so that they don't have to mess with repainting or making sure that everything lines up correctly.
If your current light has the same dimensions of the Peterson Sealed Wedge-Type Clearance Marker w/Reflex # M116A then the Optronics Sealed, Miro-Flex, Thin Line, LED Trailer Marker # MCL63AB has slightly different dimensions.
To see if the Optronics option will cover the same area as your current wedge light you will just need to do a little measuring. The Optronics light is 4-1/16" L x 1-1/4" W x 1-1/8" D and mounts on industry standard 3" centers.
If this option does not have the same dimensions as your current light and you would like for it to be a little more of a direct replacement, if you let me know what the dimensions of your current light are I can see if we have something that is comparable. I have also linked our selection of rectangular amber LED lights for you to check out as well if you prefer to do that.
