How Difficult is the Installation of a Prodigy P3 Brake Controller on a 2015 Chevy Colorado?

Hi, how difficult is it to install a Tekonsha Brake Controller on a 2015 Chevy Colorado that has the trailer package pre-installed? Is this something I can do or do I have to take it to a garage to get it done?

Installing a Tekonsha Brake Controller, such as the Prodigy P3, # 90195, on your Colorado can be accomplished without the use of any special tools, though you will need a circuit tester such as # PTW2992. The 2015 Chevy Colorado with trailer package will have the wiring for the brake controller already run, which you can access via the kick panel on the driver's side.
