Best Ways to Determine Tongue Weight for Weight Distribution
Question:
I need to purchase a wd hitch, but I am not sure what the tongue weight is of my horse trailer. I know the length and weight of it. I was thinking maybe around 800 or 900 pounds. Is there a way i can figure that weight out without taking it to a weight place with my horse in it? Thank you

It's going to most likely be 10-15 percent of the total trailer when loaded. So you'd need to get the total weight and use that figure to get a ballpark. But beyond that the best way is to take it to a weigh station or use the etrailer tongue weight scale # e99044.
