Trailer Hitch Installation on 2010 Chevy Traverse to Allow Use of Thule Vertex TH9029XT
Question:
Im interested in getting a bike rack for my 10 Chevy Traverse. The one Im looking at is Item # TH9029XT. I do not have a hitch, and was wondering what the total cost would be of having that installed. Thanks and let me know!

A trailer hitch allows use of the highest-capacity bike racks like the 4-bike Yakima FullSwing # Y02465. A hitch rack also avoids the rack making contact with your vehicle's painted surfaces.
Our hitches for your car, like Draw-Tite # 75528 which is the one I suggest, include all the required hardware to bolt them on to your Traverse. No drilling is required and this particular hitch installs on your car pretty easily. If you have the right tools (these are listed in the linked instructions) this is a task that can often be handled by the DIY-friendly among us. Most local auto shops will do the installation for you for a fee, which will vary by shop and vehicle. But again, this is among the easier hitch installations and should not take more than an hour. The rated install time is 30-minutes for an experienced installer. You can watch the linked video to see the whole process.
