What are the Dimensions of the Mounting Plate on Curt 2 Inch Bumper Trailer Hitch, # E-3S
Question:
1. I see that the item description states: Bolt pattern width on center 8-3/4in. - Now, the picture clearly shows that the item has a slotted bolt pattern. So what is the minimum distance between bolt center - bolt center that this item fits? 2. Description says: Side to side width: 14in - I am assuming this is from edge to edge in the diagonal flanges, but what is the width of the flat surface that mounts directly into the bumper. 3. What is the distance from the bolt pattern front edge, to the mounting plate front edge? The manufacturer should provide a drawing for this universal item to avoid tons of questions about fitment.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled a Curt 2 Inch Bumper Hitch, # E-3S, to take some measurements. The center to center distance between the two round holes is 6 inches. They measure 5-7/16 inches apart, inside edge to inside edge. They are 9/16 inches in diameter.
The elongated holes are 7-5/16 inches apart, inside edge to inside edge. From the front of the elongated holes to the edge of the flat platform measures 5/8 inches. The elongated holes measure 1-1/4 inches by 13/16 inches. From the center line of the rear bolt holes to the center line of the forward bolt holes measures 2-1/4 inches.
The top flat part of the hitch measures 11 inches by 4 inches. From the edge of the elongated hole to the face of the receiver measures 2-5/8 inches. I have included a link to the installation details for reference.
