Will Thule KIT3151 fit a 2017 Ford Explorer Platinum allowing an Atlantis 1800 Cargo Box to clear the shark fin antennae on the rear roof. Thanks.

The Thule Fit Kit # THKIT3151 that you referred to is the correct fit kit to install Thule crossbars on your 2017 Ford Explorer Platinum with flush mount rails. There are a couple of different roof rack options for you.

You can use the Thule Rapid Podium # TH460R with either the Black # TH711420 or Silver # TH711400 53 inch WingBar Evo Bars.

The Fit Kit # THKIT3151 will install by taking out the plastic screws in your OEM flush mount rails and installing the fit kit in that same space. I called Thule and my contact confirmed that the crossbars will be tall enough that your cargo box will not hit it.

To determine whether or not the Atlantis 1800 will fit your crossbar spread you will need to measure from the middle of the front 2 mounting hole for the Fit Kit to the middle of the rear 2 mounting holes for the Fit Kit. From my research the max crossbar spread that the Atlantis 1800 will fit is 37 inches. If your crossbar spread is more than that then the Atlantis will not fit on your Explorer. If it is less than that then you are good to go.
