The fitting on the Vaterra Water Inlet for RVs # A01-2003VP that you referenced that is designed for a hose to slip over has an outer diameter of 1-1/8 inches.

If you already have the rest of your plumbing installed then you actually don't need anything else. The Valterra Water Inlet for RVs #A01-2003VP actually comes with the putty and screws needed for the installation.
