Longer Ball Mount and Rise Hitch Ball Solution for Needing 1-1/2 inch Drop
Question:
this ball mount is the close to the pin hole to ball hole in alum that you have 9.75 inch right? what I need is a 1.5 inch , so what would happen if I put a .25 inch washer under the Brophy ss ball that I bought from you , and on top of the 1 inch ball hole which would give me a 1.25 ,this would almost make the trailer level ,is this a doable and safe thank you

Expert Reply:
The ball mount part # EA20 is 9-3/4 inches from pin hole to ball hole like you mentioned. We do have taller hitch balls like the part # C40033 which has an inch of rise built into the ball that would put you at 1 inch drop which is very close to the 1-1/2 inch drop that you need. It should be about perfect since the tongue weight of your trailer will most likely cause the suspension to sag slightly.
