Recommended Safety Chains for B&W 5th Wheel Hitch and MorRyde Pin Box
Question:
I have a BandW hitch in my truck. I have a Mor ride hitch head on the fifth wheel trailer. I want to add safety chains or cables to the trailer. Should I buy your u bolt kit and what safety chain kit? Do you have a bed saver for the B and W hitch. Blu ox does not make anymore.

Expert Reply:
We do not carry any type of bed saver for the B&W hitch. The product was discontinued and no manufacturer we carry does anything similar.
For your safety chains, I recommend the Tow Ready Safety Chain Kit with Clevis Hooks - 44" Long - 16,000 lbs - Qty 2 # 49150. These chains are not required on a 5th wheel hitch, so they will require a customized install on your MorRyde Pin Box. You can then use the Reese Safety-Chain Attachment for Gooseneck Hitches on 5th Wheel Rails # RP50223 as an attachment point. If you do not have the rails and instead have the B&W Underbed Gooseneck, then you can use the gooseneck U-bolts or the hitch itself.
