7-Way Installation in 2016 Nissan Frontier Equipped with 4-Pole Wiring
Question:
I have a 2016 Nissan Frontier. It already has a 4 pin trailer wire system installed. If I want to change to a 7 pin round do I need to change the relays. Or are the relays to activate the trailer brakes the same. Thanks

Your 2016 Nissan Frontier that has factory 4-pole trailer wiring and 3 relays installed (2 blue and 1 brown) can be easily upgraded to a 7-way using kit # 118267. If you need the relays and their harness too then instead use the complete kit # 118266. The 3 relays alone are offered as # C57000. These relays do not concern the trailer brake circuit, only trailer 12V power and lights.
For a trailer brake controller I suggest the Prodigy P2 proportional controller # 90885 and the matching plug-in harness # 3050-P.
