Weight Distribution System Recommend for 2016 GMC Yukon Towing Trailer with 600 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
Im looking to purchase a weight dist. hitch with sway control to tow a Travel Trailer ~6,200 lbs loaded with ~600 lbs tongue weight with a 2016 GMC Yukon Denali. My concern is if the Magnetic Ride Control changes anything that I would need. Could you please help recommend a system that would be compatible for this? Anything else that I might need for this setup? Really appreciate the help! Thanks,

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached a help article on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well. You will want the loaded tongue weight of your setup to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range of the system you use. The magnetic ride control of your Yukon will not affect this. But if it wants to try and level the suspension when you hitch up a trailer you would want to let it adjust itself after connecting the trailer and then follow the setup procedure.
If your loaded tongue weight is 600 lbs then the best kit we have that would work great is the Strait Line part # RP66083 which has a tongue weight range of 400 to 800 lbs and features the only sway control on the market to fight sway before it starts.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
