Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. And today we're going to be taking a quick look at the momentary switch with faceplate. So this is going to be an easy replacement for an existing switch that maybe got busted or broken, or a way to add a switch where one didn't exist before. The nice thing about this is that it does come with the faceplate, so it gives you that finished look. Once you're done, it makes it easy to mount it into a wall or onto your accessory, or maybe onto an exterior.

If you do plan on putting it somewhere on the exterior of your RV or your fifth wheel, you want to make sure that it's in a nice protected spot so that it doesn't get damaged.So we'll have a momentary switch. Basically, that just means that the signal is going to be sent only as long as we are holding one of these sides down, and this is a double pole, double throw switch. So that means it's going to send two signals to two different pathways. So turn this on. It can run both of our landing gears on or extend them out or for track both of them at the same time.

So two paths or two items that are going to two different current paths. If that makes sense.So we can take a closer look at it to see if this is going to be the right one for you. You can see our connections here on the back, where we'll make our electrical connections. The faceplate itself has this raised edge around and then a nice bevel to the sides to make it a nice clean look once it's installed. The rating for this for the power rating is going to be 20 amps at 120 volts AC or 15 amps at 250 volts AC or 40 amps at 12 volts DC.

So one of those works for your application. This should be a good fit for you.As far as the size overall, our faceplate measures about two and three quarter inches long by about one and five eights inches wide. The depth there is about three eight of an inch. Our cutout needs to be about one and a half or inaudible 00:02:12 one and a quarter inch long by about seven, eight of an inch. And this goes back about an inch, maybe a hair more.

Our mounting holes are spaced apart by two and an eighth inch, center-to-center. It does not come with mounting hardware. It does depend on the surface that you're mounting this to where it's going to be appropriate for you. So it's part of the reason why they don't include it. You will have to pick that up on your own. The diameter of those holes is about three sixteenths. So any three sixteenths or eighth inch hardware should work just fine with that.This switch is made in USA, and that's really all about there is to talk about with this switch.
