Expert Reply:

The Reese hitch and rails you have are not compatible with your factory rail kit (the pucks) on your 2016 Chevy Sierra 2500 with 6-1/2 foot bed.

For your truck, I recommend the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C16023 along with the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider - Dual Jaw - 20,000 lbs # C16140. This will fit your factory pucks and will give you the sliding hitch for the clearance you need with a short bed truck. This slider will give you 12 inches of travel and a hitch height adjustable from 17-1/2 inches to 21-1/2 inches tall.

I also recommend the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long # C56000 to give you a second 7-way connection in the bed of your truck for easier access and connection.
